SMK JSC has negotiated a contract with HERTWICH ENGINEERING (Austria) to buy high temperature homogenizing furnace for processing of round ingots of aluminium alloys. The furnace is characterized by high output, precise heat treatment modes what allows to adjust heating modes of ingots as well as cooling after heat treatment. Heating is carried out at an adjustable rate and temperature accuracy (± 5oC), what removes metal overburning, assures good ductility of cast products of high alloys. It guarantees high properties of semi-finished products by plastic working. High temperature homogenizing of aluminium, magnesium and silicon alloys is an excellent opportunity to produce pressings by extrusion method having high quality surface as well as duralumin sheets with optimal grain size that assures the best fatigue resistance.
